Social Service Activity Report for Aug & Sep – 2007

1. DATE: 10.08.07, Time 17:00 Hrs

Venue : Sri Vidya’s Centre for Special Children, Mahindra Hills, Sec’bad. (Ph: 2773 4515)
Program : Donation of Note Books and Monthly Provisions

The team members of HAF visited the Centre for Special Children and donated the Note Books as well as the cash towards their monthly provisions requirements. Some members of HAF and Sri R Jyothi Ramalingam of Power Grid Corporation Ltd. who attended this program made instant contributions.

Venue : Joy Home for Orphans, Mahindra Hills, Secunderabad. (Ph: 2773 7691)
Program : Donation towards Monthly Provisions

The team members of HAF visited this Organization, being run by Dr Nirmala and her husband (who is also a Doctor) in a highly dedicated manner, without expecting any external help. They accept any voluntary help from any one. They feel that it is part of their duty to help the society, this manner. We have made our donation to them towards the monthly provisions.

3. DATE: 02.09.07, Time 12:30 Hrs

Venue : Hotel Silver Plate, Paradise Circle, Secunderabad
Program : Donation to 11 NGOs on the occasion of marriage reception of Ms S Arathi

Sri S Subba Rao (one of the founders of Humanitarian Aid Foundation) conducted his daughter Arathi’s marriage reception at Hotel Silver Plate, Hyderabad on 2.9.07. On this occasion the representatives of 11 NGOs (which are patronized by Humanitarian Aid Foundation) were called and Rs.2,500/- was donated to each of these 11 Organizations.

Actually this total amount of Rs.27,500/- was fully donated by Sri Subba Rao’s daughter Arathi only. A very nice gesture by the new bride when stepping in to the beginning of married life.

Sri Subba Rao’s daughter is Arathi,
Sets example as real great Bharathi,
During her marriage reception, did charity,
Helped various NGOs without any parity,

Orphans felt happy on her gesture,
Guests appreciated on her graceful posture,
Charity and reception combination well done,
Let everyone follow what she’s done,

Humanitarian Aid Foundation provides the platform,
To execute charity in full form,
Having such daughter one feels proud,
Blessing would come from above cloud.

Venue : Home for the Orphan Students, Cherlapalli, Hyderabad. (Ph: 2726 0252)
Program : Distribution of Notebooks to the inmates of the Orphanage

We have distributed the Notebooks and sweets to the inmates of this Orphanage. We also donated Rs.1,800/- worth of Reference Books.

5. DATE: 14.09.07, Time 17:30 Hrs

Venue : Venkateshwara Social Service Association, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad. (Ph: 2705 1555)
Program : Donation of Rice and Oil Tin to this Orphanage

One of the members of Humanitarian Aid Foundation, namely Ms Savitri working in Instruments Group, ECIL, donated 50 Kgs of Rice and 15 Kgs of Oil Tin to Venkateshwara Social Service Association.


6. DATE: 20.09.07, Time 17:00 Hrs

Venue : Sphoorti Foundation, Cherlapalli
Program : Donation of Slotted Angle Racks

Sphoorti FoundationThis day (20.9.07) was Dr AS Rao’s (ECIL’s first Managing Director) 93rd birthday. While different people celebrated his birthday in different ways, HAF wanted to celebrate it by organizing Charity Programs. Sri DP Rama Rao, (Ex-ECIL) has sponsored the donation of 3 Nos of Racks for the Sphoorti Foundation. These Racks have been found very useful for this Orphanage, to keep all the dresses and other items safely.

Program : Donation of Bi-cycles (Ph: 2726 0252)

Donation of 2 Bicycles to Home for the Orphan StudentsOn the occasion of Dr AS Rao’s 93rd birthday HAF has donated 2 Nos of Bi-cycles to this Orphanage, to take care of their day-to-day needs. Sri Babu Rao (DGM, HCL, Hyderabad) who is one of the founders of this Orphanage explained about his experience as the orphan inmate of Anadha Vidhyarthi Griha, Saroor Nagar and told that he started this Orphanage as a way of paying back to the society for the help he had taken from this society. One of the members of HAF read out the poems written by him about Dr AS Rao as tributes to him on his birthday.
