Social Service Activity Report for Feb ’10


1. DATE: 02.02.10 Time: 05:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Venue : 1. Kamalamma Old Age Home, Tukaram Gate, Secunderabad
Program : Donation of Sarees


Mr Veeresham of PCB Division of ECIL wanted to donate around 75 sarees (used ones) to some old age home. We have planned the program at Kamalamma Old Age Home and distributed 50 sarees over there. We distributed biscuits to all the inmates. When were about to come out two police persons brought some old lady (age around 80 years) saying that she was about to commit suicide in the Tank Bund, Hyderabad. Police have admitted her at this Kamalamma Age Home.

Program : Donation of Sarees and Money towards Monthly provisions

Mr Veeresham’s balance 25 sarees were distributed at the Old Age Home of Venkateshwara Old Age Home, Malkajgiri. Mr NR Rao made donation to VSSA towards their monthly provisions.

3. DATE: 13.02.10 Time: 05:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Venue : Sai Sadan Vayodhikasramam, Eashwarapuri Colony, Secunderabad
Program : Maha Sivarathri Devotional Program – Siva Nama Smaranam

The team of HAF went with fruits with Apples and grapes to this Old Age Home at Eashwarapuri colony which houses lady senior citizens. We conducted Bhajans, Solo devotional songs and Siva Nama Smaranam on the occasion of Maha Sivarathri. At the end of the Program Rs.100/- each was given to all the senior citizen inmates of this Vayothikashram. Senior most amongst them is 97 years old who is happy and healthy in this Ashram.

4. DATE: 22.02.10 Time: 05:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Venue: 1.Future Foundations, Prem Vijay Nagar Colony, Malkajgiri
Program: 2. Forum for Street Children, Secunderabad






HAF team, Mr BVS Murthy of Bhanu Kiran memorial Charitable Trust and Mr DS Gupta of Maithri Sava Samithi visited this Orphanage – Future Foundations. Mr K Prashanth Kumar, the founder, explained all the details of Future Foundations. We were impressed and gave donation towards requirements Tuition & Exam fees for children, Water Filter and Bed Sheets.

Then we visited Forum for Street Children. Around 50 children brought from the streets are being taken care with all requirements. We have seen the volunteers Mr T Uma Sankar and another person from Amma Social Welfare Association conducting drawing competition at the Forum for Street Children. Amma Social Welfare Association consists mainly of some philanthropic minded employees from Capital IQ. Kudos to these simple looking young and great volunteers for doing such wonderful selfless service to the humanity. Future of India is safe in such hands.
